Stylist vs. Coaching
Stylist
-
Advises individuals on new fashion trends, clothing styles, personal styles, colors, and make-up.
-
Manages the legwork of picking out clothes and accessories based on their assessment.
-
If your goal is to update your wardrobe, stay on trend, and have someone select outfits that suit your body type, hair color, and skin tone, a stylist might be a good avenue for you.
Style Coach
-
Provides resources, suggestions, and inspiration, assisting the client in getting clear on their goals and creating clear steps for actionable change.
-
Decisions about clothes and accessories remain with the client.
-
If your goal is to find someone to help you cultivate your authentic style, style coaching might be a good avenue for you.
Style Coaching Guiding Beliefs:
A focus on authenticity
01
Wear what YOU like.
-
Dressing authentically means prioritizing your preferences and comfort over outside opinions.
-
Chasing trends at the expense of your preferences may make your outfits technically “fit” in, but they won't feel authentic.
-
You are most attractive when you wear what you like because your style is harmonizing with your energy.
03
Dress the body you have now.
-
Dressing your body as it is in the present moment is necessary in curating authentic style.
- Dressing your body in the present moment means wearing clothes that fit you and feels good on your body.
-
There is an amazing alchemy that happens when dressing in the present meets the creative process.
02
Practice observation
-
Think of yourself as a scientist gathering data; neutral and observant, ready to let go of outdated beliefs and accept new ideas.
-
As a scientist, when you notice judgment—whether of your clothes, goals, body, or others’ style choices— recognize its presence neutrally and take in the information. What can you learn?
04
Prioritize comfort.
-
Dressing for comfort means understanding what our body needs to feel comfortable and choosing clothing accordingly.
-
People are happier and more confident when they are comfortable in the clothing they are wearing.
-
We dress for our comfort by being aware of our sensory needs like avoiding certain fabrics or choosing comfortable footwear, and making those needs part of our style rulebook.

What does a meeting with Sabra look like?
An overview of Tier One
01.
Intake form and Workbook
After completing the Intake form and Workbook, we will schedule our first meeting.
The workbook is a tool we will use to clarify your past, present, and intended future with style.
Sabra will review the information from your workbook and create a personalized document filled with links, suggestions, and inspiration tailored to your needs.
02.
Meeting and Verbal Processing
In a virtual meeting, Sabra will summarize your information, fill it with links and inspiration, and present the document to you.
Using the information, the two of you will verbally process together and let your individual case dictate the focus of the meeting.
03.
Goal Setting
The meeting will finish with the two of you deciding, based on your conversations, what the three best next steps are.
Sabra will help you create three actionable, two-week goals, and send you on your way with your own copy of the document with access to the various links, suggestions, and inspiration to help you on your journey.
Need an accountability partner?
In Tier Two, in addition to the first meeting option, with a second meeting, you get the benefit of an accountability partner.
We meet 2-4 weeks after our first, review your goals, how effective they were, reevaluate, answer any new questions, and create updated goals.
